President and Director of Coaching, Michael Broncati, was born in Brasil and comes from a multicultural family background with roots in Italy, Vietnam, and Ireland. With his Brasilian blood it can mean only one thing for Michael… soccer is part of life in some way. Growing up, it was not only his love, but a passion that motivated him daily. After school as a boy, he would play in the large, unfinished basement of his family’s home, where the steel columns acted as defenders, and his little brother as a goalie. With an old school Boom Box playing loudly and his ball, he expressed a passion that would eventually take him all over the world.
He found success playing in the travel, premier, and academy levels. Michael earned a scholarship playing at the Division 1 level for Saint Peter’s University. After three seasons of hard work adapting and excelling to the physical American game, the professional route called his name. Spending time at Tahuichi in Bolivia, Chievo Verona in Italy, Hercules in Spain, and Saprissa in Costa Rica were invaluable times. Later, back on American soil, Michael has turned his focus to helping players reach their goals in areas of technical ability, proficiency, and mental toughness.
“The passion I have for the game is the main driving factor in reaching my goals and helping others reach their goals. I never had size on my side and it forced me to work harder than everyone else. For me, passion and work ethic is at the base of any success in life.”
In addition to Keep Kickin’s ever growing family of over 200 players, Coach Michael has coached travel and premier teams at clubs such as Norwalk Junior Soccer Association, FC SouthWest, and Global Soccer Academy, among others.
Coach Michael is currently a head coach at Sacred Heart Greenwich as well as a scout for Italian club Real Vicenza.
